Veerangana Rani Durgavati, who displayed unparalleled patriotism by bravely fighting against the invading enemy forces to protect her motherland, will be remembered on his 461st Martyrdom Day, Monday. The Jabalpur Municipal Corporation along with Mitrasangh-Milan Durgavati Memorial Raksha Abhiyan, Corporation Athletic Association and other organizations would organise a programme at the Samadhi Sthal Rani Durgawati in Barha at 7 am. Later, another tribute paying programme will be held at Bhawartal garden at 9 am.

 

At the Samadhi of Veerangana Rani Durgavati in Narrai Nala (Barha village), the police force will salute and offer floral tributes, followed by taking an oath. Afterward, public representatives will light torch and hand over it to the torchbearers who proceed to Bhawartal Garden. Here traditional armed salutation will be given by the police force in front of the grand statue of Veerangana, followed by offering floral tributes. Guests will express their thoughts and offer homage through floral tributes. The winners of the Rani Durgavati Marathon will also be awarded. The JMC administration and office-bearers of various organisations have appealed people to attend at the programme in a large number.
