Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav will participate in Veerangana Rani Durgavati Balidan Diwas programmes in the city, on Monday. He will perform worship and lay a wreath at the statue of Rani Durgavati at her memorial site in Barha at 10.55 am. Later, the Chief Minister will attend the Validan Diwas programme to be organised at Veterinary College Ground at 11.55 and would return to Bhopal at 2.20 pm. Various State ministers including Tribal Affairs Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah, Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh, Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Prahlad Patel and Minister of State for Culture (Independent Charge) Dharmendra Singh Lodhi will also attend the event.
 
Likewise, A number of programmes will also be organised in the city to pay tributes to the brave Queen of Garha, Mandla. Veerangana Rani Durgavati, who displayed unparalleled patriotism by bravely fighting against the invading enemy forces to protect her motherland, will be remembered on his 461st Martyrdom Day, Monday. The Jabalpur Municipal Corporation along with Mitrasangh-Milan Durgavati Memorial Raksha Abhiyan, Corporation Athletic Association and other organizations would organise a programme at the Samadhi Sthal Rani Durgawati in Barha at 7 am. Later, another tribute paying programme will be held at Bhawartal garden at 9 am.
 
At the Samadhi of Veerangana Rani Durgavati in Narrai Nala (Barha village), the police force will salute and offer floral tributes, followed by taking an oath. Afterward, public representatives will light torch and hand over it to the torchbearers who proceed to Bhawartal Garden. Here traditional armed salutation will be given by the police force in front of the grand statue of Veerangana, followed by offering floral tributes. Guests will express their thoughts and offer homage through floral tributes. The winners of the Rani Durgavati Marathon will also be awarded. The JMC administration and office-bearers of various organisations have appealed people to attend at the programme in a large number.
