In the case of 57 cow carcasses found in Seoni, four houses of three accused were demolished with bulldozer. A huge crowd gathered during the action. SDM and Tehsildar also were present on the spot with the police force. Action is being taken against two of the 5 arrested accused under NSA. The case is also connected to Nagpur in Maharashtra. MP Police raided the houses of five accused in Nagpur, but all of them succeeded in escaping. Police have announced a reward of 10,000 each on the absconding accused. It may be mentioned that 57 cow carcasses were found on Wednesday at Kurku Ghat of Wainganga river in Dhuma and Dhanaura police station of Seoni district. Their severed body parts were also found.
The police administration team started the action at 2 pm. Bulldozers were run on four houses of Irfan Mohammad, a resident of Kheri; Shadab Khan, a resident of Gavari and Bahid Khan, a resident of Gavari. Two houses of Wahid were also demolished. New Collector of Seoni Sanskriti Jain said that NSA has been imposed on two accused. Administrative staff was present during the actrion. A large number of people from the surrounding area gathered while the houses were being demolished. During this time, SDM, Tehsildar, Patwari, revenue staff and Dhanora, Sunwara, Palari police were present on the spot. No dispute of any kind arose while action was being undertaken.
Collector Sanskriti Jain said that recently a case of cow slaughter had come to light in Seoni. NSA was imposed against three people in the case. NSA action has been taken against two more accused Santosh Kavreti and Ramdas Uike. Also, action has been taken as per rules on illegal encroachments of previously arrested accused Shadab, Wahid and Irfan. It may be mentioned that 28 carcasses of cows were found in the jungle near village Garghatia Chintanala Jamunjhir in police station Dhuma of the district while 22 carcasses were found in Kurku Ghat of Wainganga river in village Pindari in police post Sunwara Dhanaura and 7 carcasses were found in Devghat of Wainganga river in the outpost Palari. They were murdered by slitting their throats. 5 accused of this incident were arrested.
