Kathak dancers from Nagpur showcased their talent on stage and clinched four prestigious international awards at Bharat Nritya Mahotsav 2024 held at Panjim, Goa. Kathak artist and performer Pallavi Upadeo Kshirsagar from Nagpur has been felicitated with the ‘Nritya Kalakriti’ award and the ‘Best Choreography’ award at the Bharat Mahotsav 2024, underscoring a significant milestone in her career. Artists from across India and abroad came to participate in the competititon.

 

In Kathak classical solo category, Swarashree Upadeo from Nagpur won the first international award. In Kathak duet dance presentation, Swarashree Upadeo and Riddhima Upasani grabbed the first international award. President’s award for semi-classical dance in open category was won by Khushboo Sharma from Nagpur. All three artists are students of Layashala Kathak Sadhna Kendra and Essence Institute of Performing Arts. The artists attribute their success to Pallavi Upadeo Kshirsagar for her guidance. Sarang Upadeo, Director of the institute, congratulated the achievers for their success.
