Deputy Chief Minister of State and Urban Administration and Development Minister Arun Sao inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan of 41 development works worth Rs 2 crore 68 lakh 94 thousand in Ahiwara of Durg district on Sunday. This includes the inauguration of the room of the newly constructed Nagar Palika Parishad building and Bhoomi Pujan of 40 construction works in various wards of the municipality. Dy CM Sao also handed over the cheque of the amount to the beneficiaries with his own hands.
 
Thereafter, addressing the Sri Sadguru Kabir Pragatya Utsav organised in Kabir Bhawan as Chief Guest Dy CM Sao said that many great saints and mahatmas have been born in Mother India and one of them is Saint Kabir. He said that the philosophy of life is found in Kabir’s words. Kabir's words should be taken to every home and imbibed in life. This complex should become a medium for the propagation of Kabir's words. MLA DL Korsewada in his address said that the words of Sant Kabir are to unite all the communities.
 
The followers of Kabir are people from all communities. He assured all possible support for the development of the area. Chairman of the Nagar Palika Natwar Tamrakar also announced the beautification of Kabir Chowk in Ahiwara at a cost of Rs. 5 lakhs by the Municipality. On this occasion, councilors of the Nagar Palika, eminent citizens of the city and organizer of Kabir Prakatya Utsav Mahant Liladhar Sahu along with other Mahants and a large number of Kabirpanthis were present.
