One of the accused in the Chhattisgarh liquor scam former IAS officer Anil Tuteja has been taken into custody on a production warrant by the Uttar Pradesh Police. Tuteja is expected to be presented in a Meerut court on Monday.
It is alleged that Tuteja is also involved in a case in Uttar Pradesh related to the production of fake holograms. Previously, the UP Police had arrested Anwar Dhebar and former Special Secretary Arunpati Tripathi in connection with the case.
In July 2023, the Deputy Director of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) filed an FIR at Kasna police station in Noida concerning the fake hologram case. On May 3, the UP Special Task Force (STF) arrested Vidhu Gupta, the owner of Prism Holography Security Films Pvt Ltd. During interrogation, Gupta named Anwar Dhebar and Arunpati Tripathi as co-conspirators.
