FORMER National President
of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh
(BMS) Saji Narayanan said,
“There is an urgent need for
study classes to develop
women leadership at all India
level. Women have the ability
tomakeindependentdecisions
aswellasleadershipqualities.”
Narayanan was speaking at
the inauguration of All India
WomenWorkers Study Classes.
The programme was organised
by Vidarbha Pradesh of
Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh her e
inthecity.Thethree-day study
class was conducted from
July 12 to 14.
Narayanan gave the example of Sita in the Ramayana of
women being called ‘Shakti
Datri’. “Any work isaworship.
‘Shram’ is worshiped in
Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh.
Loyalty is also an act of worship while working in an organisation,” he pointed out.

traditional lampto inaugurate
the programme.

wage must be paid to the
labourers. People should be
able to make a living from the
minimum wage.”

In the afternoon session, Dr
Manisha Kothekar, National
Organisation Secretary of
Bharatiya Stree Shakti spoke
on the role of women in the
development of the nation.
Gouri ChandrayaanhighlightedbenefitsoftheGovernment’s
Vishakha Committee guidelines for women.
The Study Class National
