As five cyclonic system and trough line is active in country, Madhya Pradesh is receiving heavy downfall for past ten days. On Monday, 20 districts including, Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Ujjain, received rainfall. Meteorology Department has released rain alert for Bhopal for next 5 days. Weather Scientist Dr Ved Prakash said that strong system is being activated on July 3 and good rainfall is expected to record in Madhya Pradesh till July 15. He said that in past 24 hours, many cities have recorded downpour and for next five days, storm, rain, thunder and lightning is expected in state. From July 3, Eastern Bay of Bengal will be increasing rain activity.
 
Day and night temperature has been declined by several notches due to the rainfall. Highest temperature was recorded as 34.9 Ashok Nagar (West MP) degrees Celsius and Satna (East MP) 35.6 degrees Celsius. Shajapur remained the coldest city with day temperature 25.5 degrees Celsius and night temperature 22 degrees Celsius. Pachmarhi, Umaria, Naugaon, Malajkhand, Sagar and Seoni recorded day temperature below 30 degrees Celsius. Weather scientists said that 61.1 mm rainfall was recorded in west MP, highest rainfall was 61.6 mm and East MP recorded 12 cm rainfall on Monday. Maximum temperature in Bhopal was recorded as 30.2 degrees Celsius, Indore 31.6 degrees Celsius, Jabalpur 30.5 degrees Celsius, Gwalior 34.6 degrees Celsius. Narshingpur recorded highest day temperature as 35 degrees Celsius and night temperature as 22 degrees Celsius.
 
According to IMD, moderate thunderstorm with lightning is likely to occur over North Bhopal, Sehore, Raisen, Vidisha, Harda, Betul, Narmadapuram/Pachmarhi , Raisen/Sanchi, Sagar, Damoh, Chhindwara, Jabalpur/Bhedaghat/AP, Katni, Maihar, Mandla/Kanha, Seoni, Panna/TR, Mauganj, Umaria/Bandhavgarh along with Light Thunderstorm with Lightning over South Bhopal/AP, Rajgarh, Dewas, Shajapur, Agar Malwa, Khandwa, Ujjain/ Mahakaleshwar, Indore/AP, Ratlam, Udaygiri/Bhimbetka, Guna, Ashoknagar, Shivpuri, Mandsaur, Jhabua, Dhar, Narsinghpur, Pandhurna, Dindori, Balaghat, Satna, Chhatarpur/Khajuraho, Rewa, Sidhi, Singrauli, Anuppur/Amarkantak and Shahdol in Afternoon hours. IMD forecast rainfall around 115.5 mm in Morena, Bhind, Gwalior, Katani, Dindori, Sheoni, Mandla, Jabalpur , Dhar, Badwani, Datia,, Umaria and Shahdol on Tuesday. Wind would be blowing for 30 to 40 kmph. From July North, East, South part of State will be receiving heavy rain.
