City’s Jyuthika in Mah junior hockey team

 

 

JYUTHIKA Bodkhe, B.Sc Statistics student of Dr Ambedkar College, has been selected in Maharashtra junior women’s hockey team that will participate in the 2nd Hockey India Junior Women West Zone Championship to be held at Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh from Sunday. Midfielder Jyuthika, a former student of Ira International School, was picked for the junior west zone national trials at Pimpri-Chinchwad in Pune. Jyuthika, who is coached by Shahid Bux since her formative days, was included in the probables list and appeared for the final selection trials held earlier this month at Pune.

 

Hockey Maharashtra are placed in Pool B and will be playing against Goans Hockey, Hockey Rajasthan, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu Hockey. Hockey Maharashtra’s first match is on Sunday against Goans Hockey. They will then square up against Hockey Rajasthan on July 22 and then meet Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu Hockey on July 24.
