The Raipur Police’s cyber team brought the three suspects to Raipur from Jharkhand after arresting them in connection with the recent shootout involving a businessman in Telibandha. Among those apprehended is the primary mastermind, Amandeep Balmiki, also known as Ammu. Along with Amandeep, two other suspects, Laxman Das Bajigar and Ravi Kumar Sen, have been brought to Raipur on transit remand for further interrogation. This brings the total number of arrests to six, with three of the accused previously apprehended in Jharkhand now serving jail time. The police have registered an FIR at the Telibandha police station, citing charges of attempted murder and violations of Arms Act. The incident dates back to July 13, 2024, when two masked assailants on a Pulsar motorcycle approached PRA India Pvt Ltd, situated near Udyog Bhawan Telibandha on Ring Road No 01.
 
The suspects opened fire on a person sitting in a car parked outside the company premises. In response to the attack, a crime report numbered 494/24 was filed under Section 109, 3(5) BNS 25, 27 of the Arms Act against unidentified perpetrators at the Telibandha police station. A specialised investigation team was assigned to uncover the details of the crime. Leveraging intelligence from various sources, law enforcement launched an extensive interstate operation that spanned multiple locations, including Gumla, Lohardaga, and Ranchi in Jharkhand, as well as Sirsa in Haryana. This coordinated effort led to the arrest of six individuals linked to the gang responsible for the crime, with additional suspects identified. Amandeep Balmiki is linked to the Aman Sahu gang in Jharkhand and a gang in Punjab, and he provided the shooter, vehicle, and money for the crime.
 
The arrested suspects are Sandeep Yadav, 23, of village Sehalater Toli, Ghaghra police station, Gumla district, Jharkhand; Shahid Ansari, 22, of New Azad Basti, Lohardaga, Jharkhand; Shahid Ansari, 25, of Azad Basti, Pathalkurwa, Lower Bazar police station, Ranchi district, Jharkhand; Ravi Kumar Sen, 22, of Mangala police station, Sadar district, Sirsa, Haryana; Laxman Das Bajigar, 23, of Salarpur police station, Sadar district, Sirsa, Haryana; and Amandeep Balmiki alias Ammu, of Dhotar bus stand, Rania police station, Sirsa district, Haryana. The investigation is ongoing, with police teams actively interrogating the suspects to gather further intelligence and pursue additional leads. Authorities remain committed to dismantling the criminal networks involved and ensuring justice is served for the victims of the Telibandha shootout.
