Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav reacted sharply over Rahul Gandhi’s statement on Hindus in the Lower House of Parliament. Everyone’s sentiments have been hurt by Rahul Gandhi’s statement, he said. “I strongly condemn Rahul Gandhi’s statement. The Leader of the Opposition has given a statement to shame the Hindu society inside the biggest temple of democracy, calling Hindus violent has come to the fore as a sign of his evil mentality.” India is the only country in the world where Hindus have the largest population. If the Leader of Opposition shames Hindus in this manner, how can the country tolerate it? The entire country is furious on hearing this. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi should apologise by rubbing his nose.

The CM further said that I am proud that I am a Hindu. Everyone who is a Hindu is proud of being a Hindu. He should apologise immediately and the Congress National President should immediately ask for Rahul Gandhi’s resignation... and also clarify whether the Congress agrees with Rahul Gandhi’s statement or not. Notably, on Monday displaying Lord Shri Shiva’s picture said that those who call themselves Hindus are engaged in violence and hate. Pointing towards the BJP MPs, he said that you are not Hindus at all. His statement triggered a row in the state and drew sharp reactions from other BJP leaders.
