In order to oppose the alleged Nursing Scam in Madhya Pradesh, the Youth Congress began Satyagrah campaign at Board Office Square on Tuesday. PCC chief Jitu Patwari was also present at the spot and he discussed the problems of nursing students. While discussing the students, Jitu Patwari said, “Government is taking action against the small staff in this scam but the main officers and ministers who are majorly involved in this scam are exempted. Minister should resign immediately.”
 
Youth Congress President Mitendra Singh said, “career of many nursing aspirant has been spoiled. After Vyapam scam, this is the biggest scam spoiling the image of state across the country. If Government fails to address this issue seriously, such kind of scams will be continued in future.” A day before on Monday, Congress workers were trying to gherao Minister Vishwas Sarang’s residence. Police team stopped the demonstrators with barricading. Police also used water cannon to stop them. Police team deployed water cannons to disperse the protest. Congress is demanding resignation of cabinet minister Vishwas Sarang who was formerly the minister for medical education.
 
The protest was led by former minister P C Sharma along with Congress district and city presidents Praveen Saxena and Anokhi Mansingh Patel. State Mahila Congress President Vibha Patel and PCC office-bearers Jitendra Mishra and Ravi Saxena also led the protest. Speaking to ‘The Hitavada’, Praveen Saxena alleged, “The way scam has come out to light in the State, ugly face of education mafia has been exposed. Nursing Scam happened to benefit the concerned minister and a few officials. This scam amounts to corruption of crores of rupees.”
