Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav said that for the first time in the State, a budget of more than 3.60 lakh crores has been presented. The speciality of the budget is that no tax of any kind has been imposed on public. The expected amount of any department has not been reduced, but the allocation for all departments have been increased. The theme of the budget is ‘Developed India-Developed Madhya Pradesh’. The size of the budget will be doubled in the next five years, ensuring GDP growth as per the expectations of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. All sections, especially youth, poor, women, farmers etc, have been taken care of in the budget. At the same attention to modern technology including IT have been given. Talking to the media, Chief Minister Dr Yadav said that special arrangements have been made in the budget for the students who are studying in hostels. He said that adequate provisions have been made in the budget to encourage milk production in the State. Adequate funds have also been provided for cow shelters. Budget provision for industrial development has been increased by 40 per cent. A large amount has also been provided for self-help groups including heavy industries, MSME and cottage industries. It will give a push to infrastructure projects.
Chief Minister Dr Yadav said that Simhastha is going to be organised on a grand scale in the State. Simhastha held in Ujjain is a grand and divine. For Simhastha, a provision of Rs 500 crore has been made as a token amount for the purpose of adequate arrangements at the temples of 13 districts of Indore and Ujjain division. Chief Minister Dr Yadav said that for senior citizens a special scheme is being started. For the care of parents of youth working in other states or abroad, such societies will be encouraged in urban areas, where all necessary arrangements including medical facilities will be available for senior citizens. The private sector coming forward in this direction will be provided support by the State Government.
Chief Minister Dr Yadav said that a record number of tourists have come to the state. Along with religious tourism, there are sufficient activities in heritage tourism, forest tourism. Along with this, provision of funds has been made to encourage education and health tourism. The state has the highest production capacity of Shri Anna in the country. Shri Anna Anusandhan Kendra is being opened in Dindori. Similarly, under pulses, gram research center will be opened in Malwa, mustard research center will be opened in Chambal. Along with taking strict action to prevent cow-related crimes, the State Government has declared this year as the Cow Protection Year. As a result of the public welfare schemes of the State Government, more than 2.30 crore people have come out of the poverty. The State Government will continue to work for the better life of the common people by implementing employment-oriented schemes in the State.
