Braveheart from Akola killed in action in J&K terror attack

 

 

 

Sep Pravin Prabhakar Janjal, of Akola district, made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty in Kulgam in Jammu and Kashmir during a terror attack on Saturday. In this encounter, L Nk Pardeep Kumar was also killed in action. Six terrorists were also killed in this encounter. The mortal remains of Sep Pravin will reach Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport on Sunday late night from Delhi and then the mortal remains will be taken to his native place in Akola district. Sep Pravin is a resident of Morgaon Bhakare village. He joined Indian Army in 2 Mahar Regiment in 2020. He was initially posted in Manipur. After four months, he was sent to Kulgam where he was deployed at HQ 1 Sect RR (Rashtriya Rifles).

 

On Saturday, this braveheart laid down his life in an encounter with terrorists in Modargam in Kulgam district of J&K. Sep Pravin killed four terrorists in the attack, however in the counter attack Sep Pravin was shot dead. After this incident, Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai, Commander, Chinar Corps; Atal Dulloo, Chief Secretary, J&K; R R Swain, DGP, J&K; and others paid homage to both the bravehearts of the Indian Army. News of his death was conveyed by Mahar Regiment on Saturday evening to his family. Pravin was married six months ago to Shambala Janjal. Pravin was the third person of Janjal family in the village who joined Indian Army. His grandfather Bhaskarrao Bajirao Janjal was also a soldier and uncle Ravindra Janjal also retired from the Indian Army.
