HOTEL and Restaurant Association Western India (HRAWI) recently held ‘Empowering Hospitality ConclaveandAwards’ function atHotelCentrePoint.Theevent was inaugurated by Dr Sagnik Chowdhury, DDG & Regional Director (Western & Central), Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. Dr RavinderSingal,Commissioner of Police, Nagpur was special guest on the occasion while Pradeep Shetty – President – Federation of Hotels and RestaurantAssociationofIndia (FHRAI) and HRAWI and TejinderSinghRenu–President, Nagpur Residential Hotels Association (NRHA) were also present. Expressing his views, Dr Ravinder Singal acknowledged the hospitality industry’s concerns but emphasized the broader perspective law enforcers mustmaintain while enforcing law and order.
 
Dr Sagnik Chowdhury expressed his happiness and said,“guests from all parts of the world visitIndia,and thehospitalitysector is essentially a melting pot of cultural exchanges. Enhancing guest experiences isourcoreoffering;wearemore than just venues to stay.” A highlight of the event was the Lifetime Achievement Award presented to Shivkisan Agrawal, CMD of Haldiram Group.Othernotableawardees included Jasbir Singh Arora of HotelCentrePoint;SatyenJain, CEO & Director of The Pride Hotel;andTejinderSinghRenu, OwnerofHotelPritam, for their excellent contributions to the industry.SanjayGupta ofHotel Nagpur Ashok was recognisedfor his significant contributionto the hospitality sector inNagpur. Awards were also presented to Manoj Bali, General ManagerofRadissonBluHotel, whowas awardedBestGeneral Manager;ShrikantMallik,SousChef of Hotel Pride, who wasrecognised as the Best Chef (Hotel); Aum Ashok Hansles of Ashoka Restaurant; and AmitKandwal, General Manager of Hotel Centre Point, who wasawardedtheBestYoungGeneral Manager.
