Shukla Excessive watching on TV and mobile by their children have become common concern in many households, but in Indore a unique and controversial case is being registered as children have taken legal action against their parents for restricting their access to television and mobile devices. The children went to the police station to lodge a complaint. The complaint led to charges under the Juvenile Justice Act, citing excessive scolding and physical discipline concerning the use of mobile phones and television by the children.
 
Police filed an FIR against the parents. The matter became so complicated that it reached the High Court and Indore Police imposed a section with a punishment of 7 years. The case, which could potentially result in a seven-year sentence for the parents or fine, is currently under judicial review after reaching the Madhya Pradesh High Court. At present, an interim stay has been imposed on the case. The case is registered at Chandan Nagar Police Station of Indore. A 21-year-old daughter and 8-year-old son who reached the police station and made complaint against their parents. Police lodged an FIR against them. The High Court has put an interim stay on the trial started against the parents in the district court. Children are currently residing with their aunt, following their FIR against their parents.
