BAIDYANATH LNG Private
Limited, commercially known
as B-LNG, launched its third
LNG dispensing station on
Umred Road, Nagpur at the
hands of Union Minister for
Road Transport and Highways
Nitin Gadkari on Monday.
On the occasion, a memorandum of understanding
(MoU) was also signed between
B-LNG and Volvo Eicher
Commercial Vehicles Limited
to enable the development of
LNG station network across
various strategic locations in
India.
This is expected to accelerate the development of the
supply side ecosystem and aiding long haul transport segment to switch to the cleaner
fuel. Under the MoU, B-LNG
and Volvo Eicher shall jointly
promote sales of LNG Powered
Eicher trucks with an initial
target of 500 units in operation.
Speaking at this occasion,
Gadkari Government of India
is working on development of
alternative fuel options.
Commenting on this initiative, Vaddadi Subbarao, CEO
BLNG, said, “We are delighted
to enter into this agreement
with Volvo Eicher for development of LNG corridor in India
along with required eco system.” Rajinder Sachhdeva,
Deputy CEO ,Volvo Eicher, said,
“This initiative aligns perfectly with our commitment to providing sustainable and efficient
transportation solutions.”
