AFTER fulfilling decades-old
demand of Hukumchand Mill
workers in Indore, now, Chief
Minister Dr Mohan Yadav who
is also a son of mill worker gave
a ray of hope to the people of
Malwa saying several projects
will come up in the region to
promote textile industry.
Notably, several textile mills
established in the pre-independence era were glory of
the state and source of income
for thousands of families but
all of them have been reduced
to rubble. The legal battle for
ownership between the creditors of the mills and the State
Government has subsided but
it was a long wait for over a
thousand workers who have
died.
The surviving workers are
not sure if they will ever receive
their wages. But after becoming CM Dr Mohan Yadav initiated the settlement cases of
Hukumchand Mill workers.
after 31 years, they were given cheques.
Chief Minister Dr Mohan
Yadav has said that Ujjain is
moving rapidly in the direction of industrialisation.
Textile industry will play a key
role in women empowerment.
CM Dr Yadav directed to prepare a project to promote textile industry in Malwanchal
and also to ensure all necessary arrangements by the
police administration for
women safety in industries.
Best Apparel unit providing
employment to more than
1,000 Ladli Bahnas Chief Minister Dr Yadav visited Best Life Style Industries
(Textile Industry) located at
Nagjhiri in Ujjain on Tuesday.
He observed the work of textile manufacturing being
done by more than 1,000
women here. CM Dr Yadav
also commended the efforts
of working women during a
cordial interaction with them.
Chief Minister Dr Yadav also
operated the machine. More
than 1,000 women working
in the industry thanked CM
Dr Yadav for providing
employment.
Chief Minister
Dr Yadav discussed with the
women artisans preparing
clothes about salary and
household-family. Women
artisans said that they are satisfied with getting employment. Now there is no difficulty in running the household and the family and we
have become self-reliant.
Chief Minister Dr Yadav discussed in detail with the officials in the Best Life Style
office regarding the activities
of industrial development in
Ujjain. He said expeditious
efforts should be made
towards making Ujjain a medical tourism destination. CM
Dr Yadav stated that land
should be provided promptly for the investment proposals submitted by prominent
industrialists of the country
who are interested in establishing their industrial units
in Ujjain. He said that like
Bengaluru, an IT park should
be established in Ujjain too
so that IT engineers of Malwa
can get employment and
Ujjain can become a hub of
start-ups. He directed the district administration to allocate
land for the IT Park soon. Chief
Minister Dr Yadav said that the
clothes being prepared in
Ujjain’s Best Apparel Park are
of high quality and international standard level.
The clothes prepared from
here are being exported to
countries like America,
Canada etc., due to which
Ujjain’s name is emerging as
an industrial area at the international level. Ujjain’s prosperous textile industry is now
being revived. The skill of
Ujjain’s women is being hailed
all over the world.
Along with this, he directed that night shift should also
be started soon in Best Apparel
Park to increase more employment. He said that like Indore,
readymade complex, plug
and play industrial park
should be developed in Ujjain
too. He directed to expand
the success of Vikram Udyog
further. CM Dr. Yadav also
talked about encouraging
farmers for cotton cultivation
and said that industries
should source raw materials
locally to enhance farmers’
income. In the meeting, Vice
President of Best Life Style,
Puneet Jain told that Best Life’s
unit in Ujjain is one of the
largest textile industry units
in the country
