JMC launches massive cleanliness drive, deploys available machinery, resources

Due to continuous negligence of Essel Company over the past one month, the Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) has launched a massive cleanliness drive, deploying all available machinery and human resources. Municipal Commissioner Preeti Yadav said that Essel Company has been consistently neglecting door-to-door garbage collection for last one month. As a result, the JMC administration has been conducting daily garbage collection from households using its resources. On Friday, 530 tons of garbage were collected by 280 garbage trucks and transported to the Kathonda plant.
 
Deputy Commissioner Sambhav Ayachi informed that to maintain regular garbage collection, 280 garbage trucks, 20 JCB machines, 10 Tata 407, 18 tractor trolleys and 13 dumpers, along with all chief sanitation inspectors, sanitation inspectors, ward supervisors and assistant ward supervisors have been deployed.
 
Ayachi said continuous efforts are being made in the direction and Municipal Commissioner Yadav is monitoring the situation from morning till evening to ensure the garbage collection system is not disrupted. Health Officer Sandeep Jaiswal said the Municipal Commissioner personally reviews reports every hour. He said the JMC administration will soon take legal action against Essel Company. He said the civic body will continue to manage the city’s cleanliness with its resources and will bring needed improvements to the sanitation
system.
