Rs 1,200 crore DPC approves outlay for district

District Planning Committee (DPC) has approved an outlay of Rs 1,200 crore for Nagpur district at its meeting held at Niyojan Bhavan on Friday. Deputy Chief Minister and Guardian Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who chaired the meeting, said that he had been advocating to increase the outlay, ensuring that all the development projects complete in time. So far, the Mahayuti Government has provided balanced allocation in general plan, Scheduled Tribes plan and under Tribal Sub-plan with a view to achieve all round development on every front. However Fadnavis called for proper co-ordination in achieving the end result in all constituencies of district through minute planning and targeted release of funds. At the meeting, the Guardian Minister also finalised the expenditure of last financial year which was Rs 1036.38 crore. As per the details, the general plan outlay was fixed at Rs 800 crore while that of Scheduled Caste Sub-plan (SCSP) was kept at Rs 183 crore and for Tribal head, Rs 53 crore were utilised.
 
The total utilisation of funds was 99.97 per cent. For the current year, the DPC, after deliberation finalised the respective outlay wherein under General plan Rs 944 crore is allocated, for SCSP Rs 195 crore and under Tribal Sub-plan Rs 80 crore are earmarked. So the comparative increase in DPC outlay for district is nearly Rs 200 crore which is quite phenomenal. Speaking further at the meeting, Fadnavis stated that a sum of Rs 1,219 crore had been allocated for SCSP and Tribal Sub-plan. Of that, Rs 405.65 crore has already been released in Budget Distribution System. Similarly, till end of July, Rs 48,71,79,000 was already released to implementing agencies against the demand and so far Rs 23,71,30,000 has been spent. Category ‘C’ Pilgrimage Status: DPC also accepted the Contd from page 1 proposal put forward by Zilla Parishad and granted Category C pilgrimage tourism centre status to Renuka Mata Mandir Deosthan, Mohgaon Zilpi, Hingna tehsil; Rameshwar Mandir, Mouza Neri; Nagnath Swami Math Deosthan, Ghorad village, Kalmeshwar Tehsil; Shree Vitthal Rukmini Seva Samiti Deosthan, Makardhokda, Umred Tehsil; and Ravi Maharaj Math, Mouza Salai Godhani. Apart from that, DPC granted nod for development plan for upgradation of tourist facilities at Parmata Ek Sevak Manavdharma Ashram facilities at Narayan Tekdi in Ramtek and at Mauda. Crop Damage: During the meeting, MLAs Ail Deshmukh, Ashish Jaiswal and Tekchand Sawarkar highlighted the issue of crop damage due to animals in Katol, Parsheoni and Ramtek tehsil.
 
They sought DPC to allocate a sum so that farmers can be compensated. Similarly, Krishna Khopde and Vikas Kumbhare, MLAs, sought strict action against encroachments in Naag River. The two legislators pointed out that the water flow is getting blocked due to unauthorised constructions. Pravin Datke and Parinay Fuke, MLCs, raised the issue of bad conditions of road in city that is resulting in traffic snarls. Dr Nitin Raut, MLA, sought compensation to flood affected families in city and demanded immediate completion of survey. Deputy Chief Minister Fadnavis directed the administration to carry out rectification measures on the issued raised by Members at the DPC meeting.
 
The meeting was attended by Shyamkumar Barve, Member of Parliament; legislators Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Abhijit Wanjari, Sudhakar Adbale, Krupal Tumane, Mohan Mate, Sameer Meghe, Ashish Jaiswal and Tekchand Sawarkar along with Mukta Kokkade, President, Zilla Parishad; Commissioner of Police Dr Ravinder Singal; Municipal Commissioner Dr Abhijeet Chaudhari; District Collector Dr Vipin Itankar; ZP CEO Saumya Sharma and others. 
 
Newly-built Niyojan Bhavan inaugurated The newly constructed Niyojan Bhavan was inaugurated by Dy CM Devendra Fadnavis. The ground plus two structure has an auditorium with capacity of 294 seats while the stage can accommodate 28 chairs. The second floor also boasts of a conference hall with capacity of 28 seats. Guardian Minister, District Collector and District Planning Officer will have separate offices respectively in the building. The ground floor houses waiting room while a library is located on the second floor of the building.
 
Two from third gender to work in Distt Collectorate Third gender that remains neglected in the society got a golden opportunity to showcase their talent as for the first time they would be working in Government establishment. An initiative taken by District Collector Dr Vipin Itankar saw two third gender persons being given opportunity to work in District Collectorate under Mukhya Mantri Yuva Karya Prashikshan Yojana. Dy CM Devendra Fadnavis granted them certificate of training at the DPC meeting. Similarly, Dy CM Fadnavis also issued appointment letter to first recruit under CM’s student apprentice scheme in Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC). Neha Mandari was granted the training certificate as she is absorbed in General Administration Department (GAD) of NMC. She is going to work as Clerk in GAD to understand the working of NMC administration. NMC also finalised application of Apprenticeship of other youth under the scheme.
