AKARSH Raj Sahay, a student
of School of Scholars, Atrey
Layout, has brought pride not
only to the city but to the country by winning a silver medal at the 54th
International Physics
Olympiad (IPhO) held
in Isfahan, Iran from
July 21 to July 29.
Akarsh, who passed
his class XII exams in
the academic year
2023-24, was part of the Indian
delegation that achieved
remarkable success in the competition.
This success highlights the
diligent efforts of the Physics
Olympiad Cell, teachers, and
mentors who guided the students during orientation and
pre-departure camps at the
Homi Bhabha Centre for
Science Education (HBCSE).
The strong support of the
National Steering Committee
on Science Olympiads, teacher
organisations, and the funding agencies of the Government
of India has been
instrumental in providing a platform for
showcasing Indian talent on the global stage.
Akarsh’s achievement is a testament to
his dedication and the
quality education provided by the School of Scholars.
