The delegation, under the banner of MP Madhyamik Shikshak Sangh, alleges that SED withheld their salaries on pretect of illogical orders

Labeling allegation on the State Government of intensionally harassing the non-government teachers of aided schools said that on the pretext of illogical orders, the higher officers of the School Education Department have withheld the salaries of the teachers and employees of hundreds of grant-in-aid private schools in the State. Following the same, a delegation of hundreds of teachers and employees under the banner of MP Madhyamik Shikshak Sangh, on Thursday, met Member of Parliament Ashish Dubey and handed over a memorandum to apprise him about their issues. MP Dubey assured the delegation to discuss the same with the Chief Minister and Education Minister of Madhya Pradesh to find a solution.

Santosh Kumar Dubey, President, MP Madhyamik Shikshak Sangh informed that last month, the Directorate of Public Education, Bhopal, issued an order seeking information on the fees charged from students from 1981 to 2023 (43 years), while the State Government has issued an order from 1985, banning the collection of tuition fees from students in grant-in-aid schools. Using this order as a pretext, the Directorate of Public Education, Bhopal has withheld the withdrawal of salaries of all the teachers and employees of aided private schools since last month. Due to this ban, the families of teachers and employees are facing a huge financial crisis. The Government has completely banned the appointment of vacant posts in the aided schools. Following which, the number of teachers in these schools kept decreasing with retirement of old teachers, which also affected the number of students here. In such a situation, these schools either closed down or came on the verge of closure.
