Adventure or stupidity?

 

 

 

Amidst the huge loss of precious lives due to flooded water bodies throughout the State and country, people are still endangering their lives by overlooking safety measures. Incessant rains swollen all the water bodies and flooding rivers and nullah and several rarely formed picturesque spots and waterfalls attracted a large number of visitors and the situation turned vulnerable when visitors ignored the safety measures.

 

High alert has been declared near water bodies throughout the district while residents are being appealed to avoid visiting such sites as safety measure. Besides this, Police Department has been assigned for making necessary security arrangements near dams, banks of flooded rivers and waterfalls but no security arrangements have been made to check the menace. The situation of old bridge in Tilwara seems vulnerable following the absence of security arrangements and huge gathering of visitors. Group of youngsters and couples can be commonly seen on old Tilwara bridge while sitting on the edge of bridge taking selfies and grouping.

 

A wall on starting of the bridge has been constructed for prohibiting the entry of any person on the old bridge but the adventure enthusiasts are easily surpassing it due to absence of security arrangements. Similarly, a large number of people are reaching at the banks of river at Gwarighat, Tilwaraghat, Lamhetaghat and Bhedaghat to take a glimpse of flood river Narmada. Besides this, waterfalls developed on Pariyat and Khandari reservoirs, Sangram Sagar, Nidan fall in Katangi are witnessing huge gathering of visitors but absence of security arrangements is vulnerable for any untoward incidents.
