Ahuja makes winning start

 

ASHISH Ahuja started VII edition of the CP Club Open Snooker Tournament, for the coveted Aditya Diddee Memorial Cup, on a winning note on Sunday. In the tournament opener Ahuja overcame one frame deficit to beat Bobby Jain 43-53, 57-39, 63-40.

 

The event was inaugurated at the hands of Naresh Jaisinghani, Treasurer, CP Club. Present were members of the Managing Committee of CP Club Gautam Kale and Brajesh Khemkha along with Sub Secretary Snooker Room Ujjwal Kothari and Akshay Khetarpal. The tournament has grown over the years and this time the draws are of a whopping 128 entries for the championship to played over the next few weeks at the Billiards Room at CP Club, informed Tournament Director Parheez Gimi.
