BHARATIYA Vidya Bhavan’s Bhagwandas Purohit Vidya Mandir, Ashti, celebrated National Sports Day with great enthusiasm to commemorate the birth anniversary of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand. The objective of the event was to promote sportsmanship, physical fitness, and mental well-being among students. The event saw a multifaceted personality, Shatrughna Gokhale, Secretary, Maharashtra Basketball Association, and Annapoorni Shastri, Director, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Nagpur Kendra, as chief guest and guest of honour, respectively. Riddhant Pardhi spoke about the significance of the day and emphasised the importance of physical and mental fitness. Twenty-nine students who excelled in state and national-level competitions received trophies and certificates from the guests.
