Police arrest habitual criminal with country-made revolver, live cartridge

A Combined team of Crime Branch and Garha police have arrested a miscreant and seized a country-made revolver and a live cartridge from him, on Saturday. The arrested has been identified as Tushar alias Gullu Soni (21), resident of Ramnagar, Devtal near Ramayan Mandir in Garha. The arrested is a habitual criminal and already booked in five crime cases of Arms Act and attack. SHO of Garha police station, Neelesh Dohare informed that during a special campaign against anti-social elements, Crime Branch received information about a suspected man who was sight with firearm near Madan Mahal Dargah and targeting some person. Acting promptly on the information, combine team of Crime Branch and Garha police started a search and succeeded in trapping the suspected boy. The miscreant named himself as Tushar alias Gullu Soni.
 
In his search, police seized a country-made revolver and a live cartridge from him. Garha police have registered a case against the accused under Section 25 and 27 of Arms Act while further investigation is underway to identify the source of receiving the firearm and reason behind possessing it. The accused was apprehended with active working of police team comprised of SI, Anil Kumar, Head Constable, Premnarayan, Satyanarayan, Constbles, Anil Yadav, Pushpraj, Santosh Jat, Ashwani and Crime Branch’s ASI, Dhananjay Singh, Prashant Solanki, Head Constables, Virendra Singh, Atal Janghela, Santosh Patel, Manoj Pandey, Constables, Mukul Gautam, Rajesh Mishra and Ashutosh Baghel.
