MAHARASHTRA Tourism
Minister Girish Mahajan
expressed confidence that the
newly introduced ‘Tourism
Policy 2024’ will position
Maharashtra as a leader in the
country’s tourism sector. He
highlighted that the policy,
which is considered one of the
best in the nation, aims to promote various forms of tourism,
including historical, cultural,
forest, coastal, religious, medical, and adventure tourism.
Special efforts have been made
to boost tourism in the
Vidarbha region.
Mahajan shared these
insights during the concluding session of the “Tourism
Policy 2024: Advantage
Vidarbha Conclave,” organised
here on Saturday by the
Association for Industrial
Development (AID) as part of
the Khasdar Audyogik
Mahotsav.
Union Minister of Roads,
Transport and Highways, Nitin
Gadkari, presided over the session, while Jasbir Singh Arora,
Managing Director of Hotel
Ashok, Tejinder Singh Renu,
NRHA Chairman and AID
Tourism and Hospitality Sector
Coordinator, Anil Aggarwal,
Managing Director of Tathastu
Resort, AID President Ashish
Kale, Vice President Girdhari
Mantri, and Treasurer Rajesh
Bagdi were among the prominent persons present on the
occasion. Ashish Kale presented a memorandum of suggestions for further improving
the tourism policy to Girish
Mahajan. The event was moderated by Vrishali Deshpande,
with Girdhari Mantri proposed
the vote of thanks.
