MP Ashish Dubey attends general meeting of SECR’s Nagpur division

Member of Parliament Ashish Dubey recently attended the general meeting of the South East Central Railway’s Nagpur division. During the meeting with the MPs of the division, Dubey raised several issues related to public welfare and highlighted the local challenges and the need to enhance passenger facilities at various stations to meet the expectations of general public. He also held detailed discussions for improving facilities at railway stations and addressing issues related to railway development. MP Dubey proposed the inclusion of Bargi, Gohalpur and Gwarighat stations, which currently fall under SECR into the West Central Railway (WCR).

He emphasised that integrating these stations into the WCR would streamline rail traffic and improve passenger convenience, especially considering the dense population in these urban areas. He stated that the availability of more train halts at these stations would significantly enhance the travel experience for passengers. Likewise, the proposed upgrade of Gwarighat station would lead to the introduction of stops for trains running on the Gondia-Nagpur rail line and it will further ease travel for passengers. During the meeting, MP Dubey raised the key issue related to early completion of the Jabalpur-Gondia rail line's doubling project. Those present during the meeting were former Union Minister Faggan Singh Kulaste, SECR's GM Neenu Ittyerah, DRM Namita Tiwari along with MPs and other senior railway officials from the division.
