JMC team toiling hard to top in Swachh Survekshan 2024

 

 

 

The Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) is working tirelessly to make Jabalpur no. 1 city in cleanliness and earn recognition. To maintain a robust sanitation system, health teams working in the field are receiving training along with essential tips. Under these efforts, a cleanliness review meeting was held at Smart City office. Health officials were instructed to work firmly to secure the top spot for Jabalpur in the Swachh Survekshan 2024 campaign. The meeting focused on door-to-door garbage collection, ensuring proper sanitation during festivals, spraying medicines to prevent mosquito-borne diseases and making the government-led ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign a success. During the meeting, Municipal Commissioner Preeti Yadav urged the citizens to show responsibility and avoid spreading litter to keep the city clean.

 

She emphasised that the citizens play a vital role in making the Swachhata Survekshan-2024 campaign a success and the Municipal Corporation is making every effort to improve the city’s cleanliness. Following Municipal Commissioner’s directives, cleanliness drives were conducted in slum areas, where members of the sanitation team spread awareness about hygiene. People were educated on keeping their surroundings clean and informed about the diseases caused by unsanitary conditions. Through the campaign, citizens were encouraged to dispose of their household and shop waste only in municipal garbage collection vehicles. Likewise, they were made aware of the serious health hazards caused by single-use plastics and banned polythene and were also inspired to contribute towards cleanliness.
