NATIONAL Institute of Technology (NIT) Raipur marked a day of environmental importance on by organising Plantation drive ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) initiative. This event inspired active participation from students and faculty, symbolising a collective dedication to environmental sustainability. Director NIT Raipur Dr N V Ramana Rao, Dean Student Welfare Dr Nitin Jain and other distinguished faculty members graced the occasion. UBA Club organised the plantation drive ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ under the guidance of Dr Sudhakar Pandey, Regional Coordinator of UBA Club. The drive aimed to promote environmental sustainability and encourage ecological consciousness among participants. In the campaign, the Director of the Institute, Dr N V Ramana Rao planted a mango tree and participated in the conservation of the environment.
 
In this event, faculty members and students also planted saplings together, reinforcing the message of environmental conservation and the importance of sustaining green spaces for future generations. Through this meaningful initiative, NIT Raipur reaffirmed its commitment to societal responsibility and environmental preservation. The UBA plantation drives underscored NIT Raipur’s dedication to promoting environmental stewardship, in line with the institute’s vision of holistic development.
