Two were killed and one was injured when a speeding mini truck was rammed into parked hywa near a Dhaba on Mohla crossing on NH-30 under the jurisdiction of Sihora police station in the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday.
The deceased have been identified as truck driver Monu Kori (20), son of Puran Kori, resident of Unnao district in Uttar Pradesh, truck owner Jitendra Chourasia (28), son of Satyanarayan Chourasia, resident of Bhavant Nagar in Uttar Pradesh while truck conductor Prakhar Dwivedi (20), son of Rajkumar Dwivedi was critically injured.
According to Sihora police, receiving the information of a road accident near Mohla crossing on NH-30, police reached the spot and found that a speeding mini truck laden with vegetables bearing registration number UP-32WN-8054 hearing towards Prayagraj from Jabalpur. Its driver lost control over speeding truck and rammed it into a hywa which was parked on a roadside in front of Dhaba. In the mishap, truck driver Monu Kori and owner Jitendra Chourasia succumbed to their grave injuries on the spot of accident while conductor Prakhar Dwivedi was critically injured. The bodies were stuck into the badly damaged cabin which were taken out after a hectic workout of one-hour and the injured was rushed at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College and Hospital where his condition is reported to be critical.
Police sent the bodies for post-mortem after conducting Panchnama. Sihora police have registered a case while further investigations are underway to ascertain reason behind the accident.
