One more person has died due to swine flu in Durg taking the toll to six. According to the Health Department, 6 people from the district are suffering from swine flu and they all are being treated at various hospitals in Raipur
and Bhilai.
The department is investigating their travel history. District Surveillance Officer Dr CBS Banjare said that the death of a 62-year-old man from Risali has been confirmed due to swine flu. He was undergoing treatment at BM Shah Hospital in Bhilai and was comorbid patient.
Health Department has issued guidelines stating that in case of infection of swine flu virus, the victim should immediately get treatment in a good hospital.
If treatment is not received on time, the flu increases and patient can die.
The elderly people who died were quite old and was patient of BP, sugar and his immunity was also low.

On the other hand, there is a report of diarrhea spreading in village Kikirmeta of Durg district. As soon as diarrhea got controlled in Siloda village of Durg block, a large number of diarrhea patients are being found in village Kikirmeta of Patan block. 43 new patients of diarrhea have been found here. Earlier in the day, 17 patients of diarrhea were found in the same village. In this way, the number of patients suffering from vomiting diarrhea has reached 60 within two days. Dr. CBS Banjare DMO, SDM and CEO Patan, BMO Patan, MO Ranitarai, have conducted surprise visit to village Kikirmeta of development block Patan. Also, three new cases of dengue have also been reported in the district. Dr. Banjare said that three new cases of dengue have also been reported of these, one patient was found in Sharda Para Bhilai, the second in HUDCO Bhilai and the third patient was found in Vidyut Nagar Durg.
