Rubina Francis, who brought glory to India by winning a bronze medal in shooting at the Paralympics Games 2024 accorded a grand welcome upon her arrival in her hometown, Jabalpur, on Monday. As soon as she arrived at the railway station, MLA Ashok Rohani along with a number of public representatives and citizens warmly greeted her.
In recognition of her
achievement, MLA Rohani felicitated Rubina with a
shawl, shriphal and a bouquet of flowers. He expressed gratitude to her for making the country, the State and her hometown proud.
It may be noted that Rubina Francis, hailing from Jabalpur won the bronze medal in the 10-meter Air Pistol SH1
event at the 2024 Paralympics Games held in Paris.
Rubina made history by becoming the first Indian woman to clinch a Paralympics medal in pistol shooting by winning a bronze.
