The Vande Bharat has gained popularity within a short time and the new train on Nagpur-Secunderabad route would provide comfortable journey to travellers, felt Union Minister Nitin Gadkari while speaking at inauguration of the train's maiden run on Monday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the train through video link from Ahemdabad. In city, the function was held at Platform no. 8 wherein Maharashtra Governor C P Radhakrishnan was also present. Central Railway's General Manager Dharamveer Meena and other senior railway officials were present on the occasion. An unique point of the event was that for the first time Adivasis who had not even travelled in train were specially invited for the maiden ride in Vande Bharat. The trip was co-ordinated by social worker Munna Mahajan.
 
Apart from them some of the schools responded to Railways requested and sent their students for the joy ride on Monday. This is second Vande Bharat ex-Nagpur the first one runs on Nagpur-Bilaspur-Nagpur route. Speaking further, Gadkari mentioned about ongoing redevelopment of Nagpur Railway Station saying post completion of work travellers would have hassle free entry and exit at the station. Besides there would be sea change in the passenger amenities at the station. Governor Radhakrishnan in his speech lauded the turn around performance of Indian Railways and underlined the tremendous improvement in terms of cleanliness. Now the clean stations and tracks are at par with European nations and this showcase that where there is the will there is the way. The introduction of Nagpur-Secunderabad Vande Bharat is going to boost the connectivity between the two cities.
