Rs 2,044 cr directly tranferred into bank accounts of over 5,11,000 houseless families of Chhattisgarh

Modi online transferred the
first installment of Rs 2,044
crore directly into the bank
accounts of more than 5,11,000
houseless families of
Chhattisgarh to build their own
permanent houses on the occasion of his birthday, on Tuesday.
The Mor Awas- Mor Adhikar
programme was held at the
Indoor Stadium in Raipur.
Prime Minister Modi virtually
participated in this programme. Chhattisgarh Chief
Minister Vishnu Deo Sai,
Assembly Speaker Dr Raman
Singh and Deputy Chief
Minister Vijay Sharma were
present in the programme at
the Indoor Stadium.
While transferring the
amount of the first installment
to the selected beneficiaries for
housing construction, the
Prime Minister congratulated
the beneficiaries.
Prime Minister Narendra
Modi emphasized that his government’s primary goal has
been to improve the lives of the
poor and marginalised
sections of society.
Over the past 10 years, significant strides have been made
towards this objective. In a
recent event, more than 23,000
urban families received keys
to their newly constructed
homes, along with house completion certificates, door arches, and worship materials.
During the occasion, the
Chief Minister conveyed heartfelt greetings to the people of
Chhattisgarh on the dual
celebrations of Vishwakarma
Jayanti and Prime Minister
Modi’s birthday.
“Today brings double joy for
the people of Chhattisgarh. It
is both the Prime Minister’s birthday and the day when the dream of owning a home
is becoming a reality for thousands in the state. We extend
our deepest gratitude to the Prime Minister. As a mark
of respect, we welcomed the beneficiaries by ceremonially washing their feet,” the Chief Minister said.
He further highlighted that 32 million houses have been
sanctioned across the country under the PM Awas Yojana,
with Chhattisgarh accounting for about 30% of these
homes. “This is a significant achievement for the state.
Since taking office, our government has approved 1.8 million houses under this scheme,” he added.
The Chief Minister reaffirmed his government’s unwavering commitment to the successful implementation of
the PM Awas Yojana, warning that any negligence or
irregularities would not be tolerated. “If even a single
rupee of irregularity is detected, strict action will be taken against the district collector,” he stated.
Additionally, a cleanliness pledge was administered during the event. The Chief Minister urged the public to prioritize cleanliness not only in their homes but also in
their surroundings, including schools, hospitals, and
public spaces.
Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman
Singh remarked that this day marks a historic moment
for the state. “A new light will shine in the lives of the
homeless in Chhattisgarh. The state government has fulfilled its promise, making this a significant step towards
social justice and harmony.
Over the past decade, the
Central government has transformed the lives of the poor
by constructing 4 crore homes,” he said. Along with this,
3 crore new houses have been approved in the third term
of Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji, due to which this
scheme is becoming more effective, said Dr Raman Singh.
In his address, Deputy Chief Minister and Panchayat
and Rural Development Minister Vijay Sharma said that
the State government is fulfilling one more “Modi Ki
Guarantee” on the occasion.
Chief Minister Sai also released the technical guide on
the PM Awas Yojana and launched the GRIHA portal. The
Chief Minister said that this portal will be helpful in making the housing scheme more effective and the beneficiaries will be able to complete the construction of their

Singh also had lunch with the beneficiaries of PM Awas
Yojana. Food Minister Dayaldas Baghel, Commerce and
Industries Minister Lakhanlal Dewangan, Women and
Child Development Department Minister Laxmi Rajwade,
MPs Brijmohan Agrawal, Roopkumari Choudhary, MLAs
Purandar Mishra, Motilal Sahu, Anuj Sharma, Indrakuamr
Sahu and Guru Khushwant Saheb were present.
