Shukla In a shocking incident bringing shame to the humanity, police arrested a 28-year-old teacher from a private school in Bhopal for allegedly raping a three-year-old girl student, an official said on Wednesday. Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav took cognizence of incident and ordered strict action against the guilty. He also mentioned that in this matter a special court will be recommended. According to the police, the child’s mother had approached the police on Monday after the school management allegedly ignored her complaint.

 

The child is three years and seven months old, the police official said. Acting on the complaint, police visited the school to gather information and arrested the accused, Kasim Rehan, a computer teacher. According to the child’s mother, she approached the school after spotting injury marks in her daughter’s private parts, but the management ignored her complaint, the official said. After two days, she went to the Kamla Nagar Police Station to lodge a complaint against the accused. The police, upon the complaint, immediately took action and reached the school. After collecting evidence, the police arrested the accused teacher, Kasim Rehan. The accused has been booked under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act for rape, she said, adding that further investigation is underway, according to the police.
