AFTER Jabalpur-Mumbai, the
city has been gifted yet another new flight. Starting Sunday,
a direct flight to Bengaluru has
been launched, connecting
Madhya Pradesh’s cultural
capital directly with South
India.
IndiGo has commenced the
new air service Sunday and
also released the flight schedule. The flight takes about 2
hours and 10 minutes. It
departs from Bengaluru at
12.30 pm and arrive in
Jabalpur at 2.35 pm. The return
flight departs from Jabalpur at
3.10 pm and reaches
Bengaluru at 5.20 pm.
The start
of this flight has brought significant relief to the people of
Sanskardhani.
The inaugural flight from
Jabalpur to Bengaluru had 90
per cent seats booked. This
air service was in high demand
for a long time and today the
demand has been fulfilled. The
flight will be available four
days a week i.e. on Sunday,
Monday, Wednesday and
Saturday. Previously, due to
the lack of direct flight services, passengers had to travel
via Nagpur or Bhopal to catch
flights to South India.
Incharge Director, Dumna
Airport Neeraj Kumar
informed that the JabalpurBengaluru flight landed at the
Airport around 3 pm on
Sunday with 182 passengers
on board. The flight then
departed for Bengaluru at about 3.30 pm with 168 passengers. Upon landing, the
flight was given a water cannon salute.
With the launch of this
flight, Jabalpur now has
direct connectivity to Delhi,
Mumbai, Hyderabad, Indore,
Bilaspur, Bhopal and
Bengaluru.
