Urban co-op banks life lineof economy: Sachin Shende

 

 

THE Nagpur Branch (WIRC) of  ICAI recently hosted an interactive meet on‘Statutory Audit of Urban Co-operative Banks for provisions applicable for Urban Co-op Banks’ here in the city. Sachin Shende, Regional Director,ReserveBankofIndia, was thekeynotespeaker. In his deliberation, Shende pointed out that steps and actions are taken by RBI for handholding of co-op banks while ensuring public money safety.

 

“Urban co-operative banks are instrumental in overall growth in economy and considered as the life line of economy,” he observed.CA Mangesh Kinare, CCM and Chairman Professional Development Committee,ICAI; discussed the latest amendments.CA Dinesh Rathi, Vice Chairman and CA Deepak Jethwani, Treasurer, cordinated the session. Bank staff along with a lot of chartered accountants were present on the occasion.
