President, Governor, CM offer shramdaan at temple in Ujjain

President Droupadi Murmu visits exhibition under ‘Swachhta Hi Seva’ Campaign
 
President Droupadi Murmu visited exhibition organised under Swachhta Hi Seva-2024 campaign at a hotel in Dhendia village of Ujjain. She viewed Dular kits made from unused clothes for newborns, products made from coconut waste and cow dung, multipurpose products made with proper disposal of dry waste and products made from flowers and Nirmalya offered at Sri Mahakaleshwar Temple. She also viewed machine for making incense sticks and other products, Nirmalya processing, safety equipment and resources for Safai Mitras and the stall of zero waste. The President interacted with Safai Karmis at the exhibition site. She interacted with sanitation workers and pointing towards Governor Mangubhai Patel and Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav present there she asked them “whether they knew them?”, At this, the sanitation workers said that Chief Minister Dr Yadav is from their city.
 
The President had darshan of Baba Mahakaleshwar in Ujjain and offered shramdaan for cleanliness in the temple premises under ‘Swachhta Hi Seva’ fortnight. She also swept the temple premises near Kotitirtha. Governor Mangubhai Patel and Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav also joined her in shramdaan for cleanliness. President Murmu also went for Shikhar Darshan of Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple from Kotitirtha. In a conversation with the sculptors, she said, “You are making idols in Shri Mahakal Lok, it is a matter of pride for the whole country and especially the State of Odisha.” She enquired in detail about works being done by the sculptors. The President told the sculptors that everyone studies, but not everyone has the art. The work being done by you is very commendable. During this, President Murmu honoured the sculptors by presenting them shawls and shrifal. The sculptors presented a stone Shivlinga to the President.
