Estranging the way of crime proved dear for a man when a gangster along with his accomplices attempted to kill him by stabbing with sharp-edged weapons in the broad day light in Rithori village undedr the jurisdiction of Ranjhi police station, on Friday. SHO of Ranjhi police station, RS Markam informed that the injured Laxman Banjara (38) lived at Rithori village in Panagar area who was working in gang of criminal Bhupendra Singh but left the gang and started working as mild vendor. Bhupendra and his accomplices several times insisted to Laxman for rejoining the gang but he refused for the same. On Friday afternoon, Laxman was returning home after vending milk when Bhupendra Singh along with his accomplices stopped him on the way and attempted to kill him by stabbing with sharp edged weapons. IN the attack, Laxman sustained wounds on his hands, leg and waist. The miscreants again threatened him to life and managed to escape from the spot in a car.
 
Police have also obtained CCTV footages of the incident. SHO, Markam added that the accused have been identified as Bhupendra Singh, Satish, Neetu Banjara and one other man. Bhupendra Singh is a habitual criminal and already booked in around 50 crime cases in different police stations. The injured was rushed at hospital where his condition his reported to be stable undergoing treatment at the hospital. Taking a serious note into the case, Superintendent of Police, Aditya Pratap Singh has constituted a team for apprehending the accused on priority basis.
