The Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) has geared up to ensure all necessary civic arrangements in the city ahead of ensuing Navratri festival. The civic body is making effort to start road repairing work at the earliest possible, ensure proper cleanliness and lighting across the city.

 

To see the ground realities of civic amenities, Municipal Commissioner Preeti Yadav along with engineers and senior officials of Public Works Department inspected the condition of main roads and instructed to ensure repairing as early as possible. During inspection, Yadav said that she reviewed all main roads and procession routes under divisions 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 13 and 14. She directed the officials of the Public Works Department to ensure that all roads damaged by rain are repaired before the Navratri festival. She emphasized that patchwork repairs must be carried out immediately on roads requiring it to ensure smooth traffic flow. Likewise, she also directed the roads that need complete reconstruction, especially those covered under warranty, should be rebuilt to ensure that citizens and devotees do not face any inconvenience during the Navratri celebrations. Senior officials present on the occasion were Executive Engineer Kamlesh Shrivastava, Shailendra Mishra, Assistant Engineers Virendra Pandey, Ashish Pathkar and the Deputy engineers from all concerned divisions.
