Submits memo to Collector
On Monday, senior leader of Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC), Guddu Raja Bundela met Sagar Collector with a delegation of Congress and lodged a complaint against a Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) worker for saying in front of party's candidate Lata Wankhede in the Sagar Lok Sabha elections that he himself had cast 15 votes in favour of the BJP, the video of which is also going viral. “The release of this video of the BJP worker and Sagar MP Lata Wankhede not raising any objection to it proves that lakhs of fake votes have been cast using similar methods to make the BJP candidate win the election.”
The party said.
As alleged by MPCC, in the last Lok Sabha elections, BJP has won the elections by misusing power and killing democracy in the entire state, which is now being accepted even by the BJP leaders. Notably, in the Sagar Lok Sabha elections, Lata Wankhede contested as BJP candidate, while the Congress party had fielded Guddu Raja Bundela from the constituency.
Speaking on the same, Bundela said that the election process is a democratic system, which implies that voting should be conducted with complete fairness, but the incidents of fake voting by the BJP that are coming to light, cannot be expected to ensure a fair election.
As per information, Bundela has demanded that the election of
Sagar's BJP MP Wankhede be declared void by taking cognizance of the points of the memorandum submitted to Collector Sagar and taking action.
While submitting the memorandum, former MP and District Rural Congress President Anand Ahirwar, City Congress President Rajkumar Pachauri, former Minister Surendra Chaudhary were also present.
