Fake doctor nabbed

 

 

Ghamapur police have arrested a fake doctor or quack from Ghamapur area on Monday. The quack allegedly treated a patient in a wrong way due to which, the patient died. The patient’s family complained to the Chief Medical Health Officer (CMHO) against the ‘so-called’ doctor. After thorough investigation, the CMHO found that the doctor’s degree was fake and he was practicing allopathy without proper qualification. After the CMHO’s investigation, police registered an FIR against the fake doctor Phoolchand Vishwakarma, but he was absconded since then. On Sunday, Ghampaur police arrested Phoolchand Vishwakarma. Ghamapur TI, Satish Andhavan informed that Phoolchand Vishwakarma had set up a clinic at his residence in Dadwarka Nagar and was treating patients for a long time. He had a degree in homeopathy, but he used to practice allopathy.

 

The incident came to light when a person named Sanjay Totlani took his sick relative to Dr Vishwakarma for treatment, but the patient died during the treatment. After this, the family complained against the doctor to the CMHO. After thorough investigation, the CMHO found the doctor’s degrees were fake, after which a report was lodged against Vishwakarma at Ghamapur police station on March 22, 2024. Since then the doctor was absconding, who was arrested by the police on Sunday and now he is being interrogated by the police.
