THE Bharatiya Janata Party
(BJP) launched its grand
membership campaign in
Chhattisgarh with a vibrant
ceremony held at Pandit
Deendayal Upadhyay
Auditorium in Raipur. The
event marked the official start
of the campaign, with Chief
Minister Vishnu Deo Sai
becoming the first member
of the Chhattisgarh BJP. The
Chief Minister was enrolled
by State BJP President Kiran
Singh Deo, who also released
the membership link for the
campaign.
Addressing the gathering,
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo
Sai emphasized the importance of the membership
drive, stating that it is an
opportunity to realize the
vision of a developed India
and a developed
Chhattisgarh. He praised the
BJP for its commitment to
national interests and highlighted the party’s role in leading the nation towards
progress. Chief Minister Sai
stressed that the BJP’s dedication to national unity and
its growth from the Jana
Sangh ideals are fundamental to its success.
The membership campaign, which saw thousands of new enrollees including party workers and public figures, was endorsed by several prominent leaders. State BJP President Kiran Singh Deo outlined the campaign’s objective and detailed its phased approach, which will see activities at the district and mandal levels starting September 4 and 5, respectively.
He urged party members to dedicate maximum effort to achieve a record membership number, emphasizing the BJP’s unique internal democracy and its structured organizational framework. Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao praised the party’s ideology and its historical commitment to public service. He highlighted the BJP’s role in implementing significant changes such as the removal of Article 370 and its dedication to the welfare of the poor through Antyodaya. Saw encouraged members to engage actively in the campaign, stressing that it is not only about expanding the party but also about strengthening the nation. Raipur MP Brijmohan Agrawal expressed pride in joining the world’s largest political party, attributing the BJP’s success to the dedication of its workers.
He emphasized the importance of systematic outreach to connect diverse societal groups to the party, aiming to build a developed India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Dr K Laxman, National President of the BJP Backward Class Front, reiterated the party’s commitment to its principles and accomplishments, such as building the Ram temple and enacting the triple talaq law. He called for increased membership to support the BJP’s vision for a developed India by 2047. The event also featured a musical performance by MLA Anuj Sharma, and the program was conducted by State General Secretary Sanjay Shrivastava and Membership Campaign In-charge Anurag Singh Deo. At the conclusion of the ceremony, guests including Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, State BJP President Kiran Singh Dev, and former Governor Ramesh Bais were honored with mementos and shawls. The successful launch of the BJP membership campaign signals a vigorous effort to expand the party’s reach and reinforce its commitment to national development.
