MAWE representatives take part in UK Autumn Fair in Birmingham

Representatives of the Madhya Pradesh Association of Women Entrepreneurs (MAWE) participated in the prestigious UK Autumn Fair, Source Home & Gift held in Birmingham, UK from September 1 to 4. The delegation included entrepreneurs from various parts of India including Usha Gupta, Pooja Choudhary and Nazish Khan from Jabalpur, Tashneem Banglowala from Indore, Aryaha Vaibhav Mahajan from Delhi, Shilpi Tuli from Gurugram, Shobhana Kailash, Padmaja Rao, Madhusudan Rao from Bangalore, Tisha Motwani, Raunak Motwani from Surat, Khushboo Shah from Jaipur, Diksha Gupta from Goa and Neha Asthana. The women entrepreneurs represented a diverse range of sectors, including handicrafts, home décor, fashion design, electrical equipment and lighting, handmade designer ceramic jewellery, furniture and interior design.
 
Dr. Archana Bhatnagar, Chairperson and Founder President of MAWE informed that Dr. Venkatachalam Murugan, the Consul General of India in Birmingham, visited the Indian women entrepreneurs' stalls and encouraged them. Mohit Bundas, Managing Director of the Handloom and Handicraft Development Corporation was also present and met with the women entrepreneurs to motivate them. The international exhibition provided a valuable opportunity for the women entrepreneurs to explore export potential for their products. The event highlighted the remarkable talent and products of women entrepreneurs from Madhya Pradesh, with a special focus on sustainable and handmade creations. The delegation, representing the MSME sector, brought the essence of Indian craftsmanship to the international stage and received tremendous appreciation for their unique and innovative offerings.
 
Bhatnagar said MAWE is committed to empowering women entrepreneurs by providing them with platforms to expand their horizons and explore global markets. The UK Autumn Fair, Source Home & Gift offered an incredible opportunity for the members to connect, collaborate, and forge new business avenues across borders. As a B2B trade fair, the exhibition helped the women entrepreneurs establish numerous contacts, which are expected to lead to substantial business opportunities. Likewise, many women entrepreneurs signed significant business MOUs with large companies during the event.
