NARAYANA Vidyalayam, St John’s High School, Centre Point School, Dabha and Bharti Krishna Vidya Vihar (BKVV) made it to the semi-finals of the Under-17 inter-school football tournament organised by District Sports Office at Divisional Sports Complex ground in Mankapur. Narayana Vidyalayam defeated SFS Sadar 2-0 via tie-breaker after both the teams were locked at 1-1 at the end of regulation time. Anmol Jijotia put SFS ahead in the first minute of play but Amogh Kondawar levelled the scores two minute before the final whistle. In the tie-breaker, Kondawar and Aayush Khade scored for Narayana while none from SFS managed to find the back of the net. In an another quarter-final match, Centre Point School, Dabha defeated Neeri Modern 2-0 with Yash Shinde (12th) and Hardik Kalia (25th) scoring the goals. In the third quarter-final, St John’s High School (State) defeated Sanskar Vidya Sagar 3-1 via shoot-out. Ishmeet Bahoriya, Shayaan Khan and Sumit Ranasingh scored goals for St John’s while for Sanskar Vidya Sagar, Naitik Agrawal scored for Sanskar. In the last quarter-final of U-17 age group, BKVV beat St Vincent Pallotti 5-3 via tie-breaker. Divyansh Shivde, Eklavya Sharma, Tanish Rawat, Jatin Chaudhari and Vipul Wate scored for BKVV while for Pallotti, Piyush Yadav, Anand Raut and Hansel Kalasua managed to send the ball across the goal line.
