The Manak Carnival 2025, held at the Raman Science Centre & Planetarium, Nagpur, celebrated the 78th Foundation Day of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). The event brought together over 500 students, industry professionals, BIS officials, and 100 visitors, highlighting the importance of BIS standards in daily life. Manoj Kumar Panda, Project Coordinator at the Raman Science Centre, and Hemant B Ade, Director & Head of BIS Nagpur Branch, gave the welcome address.

 

The event featured 29 stalls - 14 from industry licensees and 15 showcasing industrial products and student science projects respectively - offering a hands-on look at how BIS standards are applied across sectors. Visitors from the Science Centre also engaged with the displays, gaining insights into product safety and quality. The event concluded with keynote speeches encouraging students to pursue careers in quality assurance.
