SIBM holds panel discussion on ‘Vid’s focus areas to achieve inclusive development’

 

 

 

Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), Nagpur, recently organised a panel discussion on “What should be Vidarbha’s key focus areas to achieve holistic and inclusive development.” The distinguished panel comprised Vidhan Bhartia, Director, ERP Plastic Pvt. Ltd., Vijay Phanshikar, Editor, The Hitavada, Shweta Chopra, MD, Indulgence, Pranav Joshi, Director, Finance and Business Strategy, Tsecond Inc., and Prof. Dr Shailesh Rastogi, Director, SIBM Nagpur.

 

On the occasion, Phanshikar underscored the immense potential of the Nagpur region, drawing attention to its abundant natural resources, strategic geographical location, and skilled talent pool. He emphasized the importance of redefining the true meaning of development by shifting perceptions and leveraging the region’s inherent strengths, he highlighted the need to foster entrepreneurship and enhance skill development as pivotal drivers of sustainable economic growth. Vidhan Bhartia emphasized the importance of sustainable development and individual responsibility in driving societal change. He advocated for a collective approach toward environmental sustainability, highlighting the need to reduce single-use plastics and promote eco-friendly alternatives through education and collaboration among stakeholders.

 

Pranav Joshi shared insights on the role of innovation and scalability in driving progress, urging entrepreneurs to embrace new ideas and stay adaptable in the evolving business landscape. Shweta Chopra spoke about the importance of fostering a supportive ecosystem for startups and promoting employability. In his closing remark, Dr Shailesh Rastogi, Director of SIBM Nagpur, urged all stakeholders to critically assess development gaps and redefine growth to include social equity, environmental sustainability, and the well-being of all citizens.
