Inspector General of Police (IG) of Raipur Range, Amresh Kumar Mishra, conducted a review meeting on Friday, with police officials from all districts within the range. The meeting was attended by Superintendents
of Police from Raipur, Mahasamund, Dhamtari, and Balodabazar, as well as Additional Superintendents of Police from all districts. During the meeting, Superintendents of Police provided district-wise briefings,
covering pending crimes, murders, complaints, and law and order situations.
IGP Mishra conducted a detailed review and issued the following directives: Pending crimes, murders, and complaints must be resolved promptly. History sheets should be prepared for individuals involved in criminal activities, and effective preventive measures should be implemented against them. Financial investigations, property confiscation, and
PIT NDPS actions should be conducted in cases related to the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. Gazetted officers were instructed to review missing children cases and prioritise their recovery.
A database of absconding accused in chit fund and other serious cases should be compiled. Special teams should be formed to locate and arrest these individuals. Instructions were given to improve traffic systems and develop action plans in coordination with relevant departments to prevent road accidents. Enforcement action should be taken against traffic violators. Complaints regarding usury and fraud by microfinance companies should be verified, and strict action taken as necessary and regular reviews of security arrangements at religious places and for VIPs were mandated.
