Winter Carnival-2025, organised under the auspices of Women’s Welfare Committee, was inaugurated with enthusiasm at Vehicle Factory Jabalpur (VFJ), on Friday. The event commenced with Chief General Manager Sanjeev Kumar Bhola as the chief guest, accompanied by Rachna Bhola, President of VFJ Women’s Welfare Organisation. The ceremony witnessed presence of large number of VFJ officials, employees, members of Women’s Welfare Committee and city residents.
 
The carnival is being held at VFJ Sports Stadium from January 10 to 12 daily from 11 am to 9 pm. More than 50 stalls featuring various products have been set up, along with rides, fun games and cultural programmes. Sanjeev Kumar Bhola and Rachna Bhola officially inaugurated the carnival by cutting the ribbon and lighting a ceremonial lamp. Following the inauguration, three workshops were conducted on women empowerment, domestic violence and self-defense. These sessions were led by Shivani Maurya,
 
Assistant Director of Women and Child Development Jabalpur, Nirmala Nayak, Advocate at Madhya Pradesh High Court, Jabalpur and Akanksha Upadhyay, DSP Jabalpur. They provided valuable insights and guidance to women participants on these crucial topics. By evening, carnival drew large crowds, with attendees exploring various stalls and enjoying delicious food offerings. Besides this, the Chief General Manager inaugurated a high-mast focus light at the stadium, dedicating it to the public. On January 11, more workshops will be conducted on diverse topics. Notably, Lucky J Gupta from Jammu & Kashmir will present a theatrical performance titled ‘Maa Mujhe Tagore Bana Do’. The event will also feature fun games and cultural programmes. During the inauguration, Sanjeev Kumar Bhola and Rachna Bhola encouraged residents of Jabalpur to participate in large numbers and make the carnival a grand success.
