Chief Executive Officer of Ayushman Bharat Yojana Dr Yogesh Bharsat has outlined the standard procedures and instructions for beneficiaries to receive free treatment under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana. He emphasised that by adhering to these guidelines, beneficiaries can smoothly avail themselves of the free treatment benefits provided by the scheme. Upon arrival at the hospital, beneficiaries are required to first locate the registered kiosk for Ayushman Yojana.

They must present their necessary documents, including the Ayushman Card, Aadhaar Card, Ration Card, Composite ID, Eligibility Slip, Sambal Card, or BoCW Card, to the Ayushman Mitra. During the eligibility verification process, the Ayushman Mitra will cross-check the beneficiary’s Ayushman Card and Aadhaar/Composite ID to confirm eligibility for treatment at the hospital. After successful verification, the Ayushman Mitra will explain the free treatment procedure, and the beneficiary will then proceed with the medical consultation and treatment. It is important to note that beneficiaries are not required to make any payment during the treatment process. If the hospital charges any additional amount for equipment, medicine, or services, the beneficiary should immediately report the issue to the helpline. Additionally, beneficiaries should ensure that they receive a ‘nil (zero balance)’ bill upon discharge and obtain a letter of good luck from the hospital.

Following treatment, beneficiaries are expected to complete and sign a feedback form with accurate details. In case any extra amount is demanded or if any inconvenience is caused during the treatment, beneficiaries should promptly file a complaint with the NHA Helpline at 14555 or SHA Madhya Pradesh Helpline at 18002332085. Beneficiaries are advised to carry all necessary documents, including their Ayushman Card, Eligibility Slip, Aadhaar Card, Ration Card, and Composite ID, to the hospital. Upon arrival, they should visit the Ayushman Kiosk to confirm their eligibility with the Ayushman Mitra. It is crucial to ensure that the hospital is empanelled for the specific speciality related to the beneficiary’s medical condition. Once eligibility is confirmed, beneficiaries must follow the free treatment procedure. Upon discharge, they should obtain a “Nil” bill and fill out the feedback form accurately.

Additionally, they should not forget to ask for a letter of congratulations from the hospital. On the other hand, beneficiaries must never forget to carry their necessary documents to the hospital. Under no circumstances should they make any payment during the free treatment process. If any charges are requested, they should ensure they get a proper receipt. Beneficiaries should refrain from trusting unverified information and, in case of any confusion, should contact the Ayushman Mitra immediately. It is essential not to sign the feedback form without thoroughly reading it or ensuring all information is complete. Any irregularities must be reported without delay to avoid any further issues.
